Teen Runaway
The client's grandson had run away from home. She suspected his actions were based on "mental illness" and/or illegal drug use. Her only clue was that the grandson had told a friend he was going to San Francisco. The client had made initial contact with the SFPD, but they refused to help since the grandson was over 18 years old. She then hired a private investigator who failed to make any progress. When we were engaged, our first step was to speak with family members by phone. This helped establish a behavior pattern… and we were able to find the young man in less than a day.
